Manager Manufacturing Software Solutions
What you will do
- Liaise with the Business Owners in Manufacturing to understand their needs and priorities.
- Establish the optimal solutions taking into account feasibility, time constraints and costs, with support of your team of experts and your broader ICT colleagues (such as architects, data engineers, cloud etc…).
- Build expertise in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and automation solutions in an industrial environment.
- Grow a team of software engineers that can implement, customize and maintain MES software, integration software and automation solutions.
- Craft the long-term roadmap, budget and software implementation plans for Manufacturing.
- Drive complex decisions related to procurement and development, considering innovative software solutions.

Who you are
- You possess a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- You have at least 15 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- You have experience in growing a team of engineers, setting them up for success with training, tools, and processes.
- You have a record of accomplishment in taking difficult buy/build decisions with a horizon of 5+ years.
- You have extensive knowledge of coding best practices, CI/CD workflows and software delivery in general
- You possess effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- You easily build strong relationships with leaders operating the manufacturing infrastructure, so that you become their trusted advisor for all issues related to software solutions.
- You have sourced 3rd party software solutions and implementation consultancy services, participating in procurement processes and delivery with external service providers.
- You are a quick learner, able to grasp new environments and new technologies quickly.
- You have a record of accomplishment in bringing innovative solutions into live environments.
Must have directly led a team for a minimal 5 years.
Demonstrated ability to establish future state plans, solution roadmaps and an ability to articulate strategic choices.
