A people manager who enjoys coaching as much as hands-on involvement in research activities
As a R&D Teamleader you manage a part of the Health Research Team in Gelderland, existing of about 8-10 researchers and biomedical engineers. The team together with researchers and engineers of other OnePlanet teams, contributes to the development of innovative sensor solutions and digital twins, specifically targeting gut health and nutrition, that lead to a healthier life. We work both with customers, and in European and national consortia. Besides, we patent the different inventions, publish our results in renowned journals and conferences.
As a Teamleader you are responsible for people management as well as scientific contribution within your team. We expect that your activities will be equally divided (50%-50%) between the teamleading and scientific part. In this position you will report to the R&D Manager Health Research, who manages 3 teams working from multiple (Wageningen, Eindhoven, Gent) imec locations. This position is based in the Wageningen office.
